Johnson Technology Services, Inc (JTSi) has been supporting the NS2 Serves Veteran’s Training program that helps post-9/11 veterans to begin new careers.
NS2 Serves (www.NS2Serves.org) is an independent non-profit organization established by SAP National Security Services, Inc. (SAP NS2), to give back to the community it serves – the people of the U.S. National Security Committee. NS2 Serves valuable training and employment assistance to post-9/11 veterans who have served the country’s national security needs. Full-time, paid participants are trained in world-class software solutions that support U.S. national security, leading to certifications that are valuable in many career paths in the U.S. and worldwide. Trainees also receive guidance in communications skills and ‘design thinking’, weekly discussions with business mentors, and career placement assistance.
Vice Admiral Joseph Kernan (U.S. Navy, retired), a 35-year Navy SEAL veteran and Chairman of the NS2 Serves Board of Directors, praised the companies for supporting the program and, in several cases, hiring the veteran-trainees. The companies are: JTSI, CSC, SRA, Accenture Federal, HCL Axon, IBM, Deloitte, Huntington Ingalls Industries, CACI, Unisys, Lockheed Martin, Mantech, RTS, Perfecta, SAP NS2, and SAP America.
Going forward, NS2 Serves hopes to continue and expand the program with additional corporate, individual and non-profit sponsors. Further details on the program and instructions on how to apply for the next round of classes are specified in www.NS2Serves.org.
